It works! Need to get your around the jargon and it’s abbreviations, but once cracked it does exactly what I hoped it would do

My needs are VERY simple and for many years the RC 4 has served me well. With its compact NTC probe it works well up 90C. My needs have changed with a recent project and I now need fast response data up to 120C, a task requiring a K type termocouple. There are few such data loggers available but this brand new product seemed the perfect solution. The temperature measuring device is about the size of a mobile phone and 4 times as thick . When switched on, a bluetooth output, links to an app on my android phone where a graphical output of two temperature channels can be displayed.. The app is far too complicated for my simple needs and was a nightmare to negotiate for the first time because there are no instructions for using the software.
The customer support at Elitech was A1 and eventually they helped me find a way to use this as the simple data logger I needed. There needs to be a seperate software manual to accompany this device because the app is designed to service significantly more complex applications than mine.. However, despite this shortcoming and the frustrating start for this new product, I have to give it 5 stars because it ,does exactly what I need . As product developer myself I understand the importance of supplying my customers with a full set of operating instructions even if its a bespoke one-off product. I am sure Elitech will soon address this shortcoming and I have been tolerant of these small new product teething issues.. The gauges were great but I ordered the scales unit and it arrived without any batteries or the nylon tool kit , I did contact customer service by email but had no reply
Very disappointing taking into account the money I’ve spent

It did the job for a small cabinet refrigeration system.
However, on this particular (cheaper unit) you need an external relay for electric defrost i.e. fan output shared between electric defrost since there is only a Fan relay build in the controller. In any case I did not need electric defrost only natural.
It offers tighter control of cabinet temperature through internal algorithms if compressor standby time (C7) is active, if it is omitted than usual differential setting applies.
There are some parameter settings that are not explained properly and for which I still remain confused but, overall it did the job for a small refrigeration system very well. I'll see how it performs over the next couple of years. Other basic Elitech controllers have performed well over the last few years so I remain confident that the latter will do as well.

The air quality meter is well made and functions exactly as I hoped. I was able to prove the air pollution caused by a farmer neighbour burning plastic etc in a skip. It is helping my case in conjunction with my local environmental health officers.

I've found this equipment easy to set up, connect and adjust using the accompanying app. The app itself is purely functional and does away with any fancy designs and artwork, allowing quick and easy access to the raw data and settings. So far it has worked a treat and the regular updates I get through email are certainly a plus. Wifi connectivity is excellent where smartplugs have either failed or regularly lost signal. All in all, it has been reliable for my needs.
